As CEO of Astral Brands, Bob brings more than 30 years of experience in investing, consulting and developing high growth companies in a myriad of sectors. Since acquiring Astral in 1998, Bob has transformed the company from a single-brand business into a multi-brand marketer with significant TV, retail and professional channel distribution. Channeling his expertise gained from the successful development of his previous company, Legal Copies International, Bob has led the way on brand expansion with the inception of additional makeup and skincare lines. In the past 20 years, Astral has blossomed into a clean skincare and beauty lead with the addition of three, distinct new brands: COSMEDIX, PÜR and, most recently, the acquisition of the British-inspired nail and cosmetic brand, butter LONDON. With Bob’s sincerity and gratitude at the helm, Astral Healthy & Beauty continues to develop budding business relationships across the globe while positioning itself to become an international beauty powerhouse.
Stephen Merrick

Chief Financial Officer

Stephen Merrick brings over 30 years of valuable financial and operational expertise to the Astral Brands family. Prior to working as Chief Financial Officer for the clean skincare and beauty company, Steve was the Executive Vice President and CFO of the large E-Commerce company, KEH Inc. During his tenure, Steve’s day-to-day management and vision for the company lead to a double increase in revenue and tripled company earnings. Throughout his career, he has worked in various C-Suite capacities, as well as a business advisor to multinational financial corporations. He has built a record of success leading early stage, stagnate and growth companies through strategic growth initiatives—successfully driving profitability and company transformations. Steve is an accredited CPA and a graduate of The University of Alabama, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. His wit and charm is a welcoming staple of the Astral Brands community.

Christy Monaghan

Vice President, Digital

As VP of Digital at Astral Brands, Christine Monaghan brings years of diverse experience in B2C and B2B ecommerce, direct marketing and project management. Christy graduated from the University of Georgia and launched her career working with notable companies like QVC, Turner Broadcasting and Nutrisystem.

Over the years, Christy has developed a performance driven, take charge mindset with a sharp focus on business strategy. This has allowed her to digitally transform brick and mortar retailers into flourishing omni-channel brands with a large online presence—enhancing mobile improvement and driving the growth revenue rate up by 10,000%. Now, Christine uses her marketing, operations, ecommerce and SEO expertise to expertly lead her rapidly growing digital team, driving traffic and boosting user experience, as well as moral, across all four brands at Astral Health & Beauty.

Julie Campbell

General Manager butter LONDON / VP Marketing Astral Brands

With more than 30 years specializing in the creation and marketing of luxury consumer products, Julie Campbell transformed her passion for clean living and simplified beauty into a 15+ year career at Astral Brands. A graduate of the University of Georgia, Julie honed her skillset as a lead strategist and operating partner of an Atlanta-based marketing consulting firm, which led to her role at Astral Brands where she created the company’s first in-house marketing and design studio. During her career, Julie has received numerous awards for excellence in marketing and product innovation including honors from CEW, IABC and is a recipient of The Shorty Award. Her vast experience and hands-on dedication to brand development and strategic marketing, coupled with her creativity and story-telling initiatives, has successfully transformed the brand experience for the Astral portfolio of brands: PÜR, Aloette, COSMEDIX, and most recently, butter LONDON.

Jessica Music

Director of HR

Jessica has a broad range of experience in both the Talent Acquisition and Human Resources realm within multiple industries and will report directly to Bob. She is an active member of SHRM-Atlanta and is on the Rising Leaders Committee. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys running, yoga, and college basketball. She plans on continuing her education with a Masters in Leadership and Organizational Development with UGA in the Fall.

Nate Upchurch

VP of New Product Development

13-year beauty industry veteran, Nate Upchurch joined the Astral Health and Beauty team in 2017 to oversee New Product Development for the Astral portfolio of brands: PÜR, Aloette, COSMEDIX, and butter LONDON after stints at Tarte Cosmetics, Stila Cosmetics, and Mana Products with a focus on Packaging, Product Development, and Operations. Prior to the beauty industry, Nate worked in packaging roles with UPS Professional services, Unilever Food Solutions, and Pepperidge Farm. A graduate of the nationally top ranked School of Packaging at Michigan State University, Nate has been involved in the packaging world for over 15 years. As Vice President of New Product Development, Nate oversees the new product development department and process for all new product launches and existing product changes including Packaging, Formula, Regulatory, Quality, Sourcing, Vendor Management and Corporate Strategic Productivity Initiatives.

Cathy McKenna

President of Aloette

A Canadian native and graduate of Western University, Cathy McKenna has acquired over 15 years of direct sales management and training experience within the beauty sector. Cathy first broke into the beauty business working as the Division Manager for the Fortune 100 company, Avon Products Inc., where she was responsible for leading a team of over 14,000 Independent Sales Representatives and District Managers. Thanks to her skillset in strategic management and dedication to hands on training, Cathy successfully developed a team that consistently generated multi-million-dollar sales revenue, year after year. Now as President of Aloette at Astral Brands, Cathy utilizes her entrepreneurial spirit and results-oriented leadership to improve market awareness, expand franchise ownership and develop successful brand strategy for the widely loved Aloe Vera-based skincare and cosmetic company.

Christine Jackson

Global Vice President, COSMEDIX

A graduate of The University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, Christine launched her career in the beauty world as an intern for Maybelline’s New York brand. After building an expertise in concept development and marketing, she set out to dominate the beauty game at renowned companies, like L’Oreal Paris and Newell Rubbermaid.

Over the years, she has built an impressive resume, repositioning brands and managing portfolios for L’Oreal True Match, Magic Shave, and the Goody Hair Accessories platform. Now, Christine leads the way as the Global Vice President of Brand at Astral Brands where is she is responsible for both the branding and marketing of COSMEDIX. Christine continues to dedicate herself to expanding the global presence and awareness for the professional skincare line through breakthrough innovation and product education.
